Central to the thematic design of all Global Focus programs is the idea that language and culture are interconnected. As such, this program provides students with a school-day embedded, interdisciplinary and participatory approach that integrates the study of language, literature, history, people, and the arts to develop an understanding of intercultural relations. The program encourages communicative competency and the appropriate interpersonal/intercultural skills.
